The Federal Government through Fertilizer Subsidy Fund to Small Holder Vulnerable Farmers (Fmard) has approved the disbursement of funds to registered farmers in Nigeria.
MARD AFJP Farmers Grant Disbursement
The FMARD in conjunction with ADP staff has uploaded the names of the shortlisted farmers in the database under the AFJP and ESP.
Based on the information gained from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the payment has begun processing and is currently on for the first batch of the AFJP Farmers respectively.
Even with this update, there are still some farmers who are yet to have their bank accounts linked to their BVN, and that can affect upcoming payments negatively.
To avoid the setback that comes with the above, the only solution is to get their bank accounts linked to their BVNs promptly on or before 7th January 2022 for fast receipt of funds.
Do note that the only official website to apply for the MARD AFJP Farmers Grant is https://fmard.gov.ng/
Based on the statement published, the disbursement will be in batches, starting with Batch A, covering 1,209,143 farmers, with a total subsidy of N6, 154,802,000. This will allow the farmer to source fertilizer in the open market.
The Senior Special Assistant for President on Agriculture in the person of Andrew Kwasari, express his gratitude to the federal government of Nigeria.
